• Approved Ministers’ titles to be Lead Minister and Minister of Education and Care

• Decided on Board Focus:   Seeking clarity, fostering community 

•  Decided on tentative dates for Town Hall meetings

• Discussed book Governance and Ministry - Rethinking Board Leadership by Dan Hotchkiss

July 18 Board Meeting Highlights

At the June 18 Board meeting, your PUUC Board:

• Welcomed new board member Melissa Avery-Weir as Treasurer, and thanked former board members Lou Gardner-Parks, Robin Mara, and Shaun Allen for serving.

• Decided to hold a Leadership Retreat on Aug 16th. Details will be sent by Rev. Robin and Karl to leadership.

• Decided on a Board Covenant

• Discussed the focus of the board for the coming year which touched on governance, a shared ministry, and ways to offer opportunities for members to get involved. Discussion will continue.

March 21 Board Meeting Highlights

At the March 21 Board meeting, your PUUC Board:

• Decided to initiate a thorough update of the PUUC Leaders Handbook and policies and procedures.
• Approved Ann Marie Alderman, Tim Brown, Karl Hesse, Lucy Neel and Pam Whistler as PUUC delegates to the Southeast District Annual Meeting April 26-27 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte. Rev. Robin will also attend.
• Scheduled a congregational retreat Saturday, August 24, to renew consensus on PUUC governance, roles and responsibilities.
